Each year the Sydney Royal Easter Show offers something bigger, better and more interesting. This continuous metamorphosis offers visitors something different every year. With the Royal Easter Show celebrating its 10th anniversary at its present venue – Sydney Showgrounds, Sydney Olympic Park – the Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) hopes for the best show ever.

There is something for everyone from a quiet walk though displays to exhilarating rides, from food to taste to fireworks, from educational experiences to thrilling races and games, from shopping opportunities to great music.


Highlights of the Sydney Royal Easter Show include the displays and competitions, the nightly fireworks display at 9.00pm, the grand parade, showbags, fresh food, animal displays and activities, live music at The Shed, Kid’s World, The Coca-Cola Zone for teenagers, Next G Extreme Arena, home garden and lifestyle displays, heritage lane, Big Top and lots and lots of fun and a great atmosphere.

The Aim

The aim of the show is to provide a high degree of excellence in entertainment and highlight Australian agriculture by celebrating achievement through competitions, but the show also has a large educational component as well. The competitions include the best of livestock and domestic animals, horticulture, fashion and fabrics, culinary excellence, arts and crafts, woodchopping, shearing and competitions especially for children.

In this year, there are expected to be some 15,000 competitors entering the show competitions with over 35,000 entries.

The Sydney Royal Easter Show is classified as a GreenEvent and is seen one of the most environmentally friendly events in Australia.
